Here is a unique opportunity to put on a workshop style field trip in your classroom.
Using water as a central theme, we will do some simple mapping, create an experiment to understand the properties of water, play a game to predict and illustrate the proportion of useable water on Earth, talk about human need and make a pledge for responsible use of water.
The students will be immersed and engaged in how water is part of human existence.

Water Field-Trip-In-A-Box for Intermediate Grades (4-7)
Here is a unique opportunity to put on a workshop style field trip in your classroom.
Using water as a central theme, we will play a game to illustrate the water cycle and proportion of useable water on Earth. Students will make predictions and become the representatives of an abstract idea. Using the learning from this activity we will look at how water affects human settlement and challenge groups of students to “survive” in a unique environment. Using critical thinking and collaboration they will look at their available natural resources and make choices to put into a plan of action for their survival.
Here’s some observations from a field trip in action.
